Public Art in Rochester is an interactive digital collection which documents art in the public spaces in and around Rochester, New York. In here you'll find hundreds of images of murals, sculpture, painted utility boxes, and much more, sourced from Richard Margolis Studio, WALL\THERAPY, and members of the public (see Contribute in the navigation bar above).

This website was developed as part of a workshop series conducted at the University of Rochester Memorial Art Gallery for the local teacher community, to introduce them to Omeka S, and demonstrate ways students could use it to build digital exhibits for their coursework. Lesson plans and other teaching resources are available in the Resource Guide section of this website.

Many thanks to Richard Margolis and WALL\THERAPY for providing permission to use their images in this project.
